Frequently Asked Questions

How would you describe your photography style?

In short, cinematic documentary.

What is your target audience?

The artistic, the nostalgic, the theatrical. People who love indie movies and value art. People of any race, gender, religion or sexuality.

What is your work style when photographing a wedding?

As a wedding photographer, I don't like to manufacture as much as I like to capture what's already there. Even in the staged couples photos, I try to let you two be yourselves and do what you would do alone together, rather than try to force something more posed. The poses are more like prompts which we can play and explore inside of. During a wedding, I kind of frolic around, just following what excites me, what looks beautiful. If people are hugging, whispering, laughing, I am drawn to that. I can organize people, and do some timeline coordination when necessary, but generally I prefer to be a friend, rather than a boss. I like to get to know the couple I'm working with, so that it feels warm and comfortable when we're shooting together.

What budget range is your work in?

It ranges from 1500 - 4500, averaging around 2500.
